Associa Equity Management & Realty Services Helps Community Safely Remove Feral Cat Colony

This 347-unit community located in Sun City, California has been managed by Associa Equity Management& Realty Services since 2020.

Challenge:

A growing feral cat colony had taken residence in the community.

Resolution:

Upon partnering with the community, Associa Equity Management & Realty Services researched and investigated cat rescue agencies in the local area. Utilizing their findings and multiple resources in the county, the management team presented the board with proposals to allow a quick response that would sterilize the colony and remove it from the community. Management also organized a no-cost solution and recruited volunteers from the association to humanely collect the feral cats, have them sterilized, and put them in a program where they could be adopted by farms to chase mice. Thanks to Associa Equity Management’s quick but diligent work, the problem was addressed in a safe manner that benefited all parties.
